EMOTIONAL REGULATION

The Space Between What You Feel and What You Do

A reaction can arrive before you’ve had any say in it — faster than a decision, sometimes faster than you’d like. That’s not a failure of self-control. It’s worth understanding what’s actually happening in that gap, rather than just trying harder to close it by will alone.

This isn’t about calming down, and it isn’t about making your feelings disappear. It’s about something more specific: the space between what you experience and what you do about it — a space that can be wide open in some moments and almost nonexistent in others, depending on what’s actually happening in you at the time.

Just like we can look at what happens between two people, we can look at what happens inside one person, in the moment something gets activated. That's where the work lies.

How much space do you actually have between what you feel and what you do next?

EMPRYNT™: When You’re Ready to Change the Pattern, Not Just Understand It

EMPRYNT™ is the methodology for going beyond recognizing a pattern into actually rewiring it — at the level of the brain and nervous system where patterns are formed and sustained.
